Hong Kong’s creative industry has always been bustling with some of the most innovative and talented individuals. Among them, you’ll find Rocky – a new Masher and designer who has made a name for himself and his agency, @kithandkin.studio, as the go-to for the hippest creative input and branding advice. From popular F&B hotspots like Little Bao and Mrs Pound to big festivals like Clockenflap and big brands like Swire & McDonalds, Rocky has worked with them all.
Rocky credits his success to the talented friends he has in the industry, saying “Our success in these industries is mainly thanks to having amazingly talented friends. The rising tide lifts all boats as they say.” As a Hong Kong native, Rocky has seen the city’s creative industry experience its ups and downs. However, he firmly believes that difficult times have taught him and his team a lot about the city and their own capabilities as creatives.
“As Mash’s very own Rich said “With pressure comes diamonds”. We thrive under pressure and unknown territories. I believe the next few years will see some amazing work from creatives in this region,” he explains. Despite the pandemic hitting Hong Kong hard, Rocky continues to take on new projects, such as the CNY project he is currently working on with a well-known streaming giant.
